Finished the ol' first term

This Web site existed in some form since 1996. But over the last few days, it quietly passed an anniversary: four years of being a blog, at least in form.
Learned in those four years:
- Blogging about blogging gets the most inbound links.
- Blogging about e-mail clients gets the most comments.
- Blogging about newspaper site registration gets the most traffic. Update 7/4/06 12:22 a.m. EDT: Or maybe it's blogging about problems with MySpace designs -- after which, I find, you get a lot of traffic from people looking for ways to hack their MySpace profile pages. Forgot to mention that phenomenon!
- As far as blog tools go, PostNuke was OK but complicated; pMachine worked fine but cost money; and WordPress rocks for free.
So for my second term, I pledge to stay the course of righteous and faithful design and media commentary. And I promise that Sid will think up some new band names.
